At the heart of the DeLand Naval Air Station Museum stands the Ronald N. Herman Assembly Pavilion — a vital space dedicated to preserving history, building community, and honoring those who serve.
On April 22, 2017, the Museum proudly hosted a public celebration to honor Ronald and Deborah Herman and their family, as they officially cut the ribbon and opened the Pavilion to the public. This generous donation was made possible by the Herman Family in partnership with All Quality Products Building Materials & Millshop, and it continues to serve as a lasting legacy of their commitment to education, heritage, and the DeLand community.
The Pavilion serves multiple purposes:
-
A working space for volunteers and restoration teams to assemble and refurbish historical exhibits
-
A gathering place for hosting visiting groups, educational programs, and community events
-
A venue for special ceremonies, presentations, and commemorations that bring the past to life
Whether it’s providing shelter during hands-on projects or welcoming larger tour groups, the Ronald N. Herman Assembly Pavilion plays a key role in supporting the Museum’s mission of honoring our veterans and preserving naval aviation history.
We extend our deepest thanks to the Herman Family for their vision, generosity, and ongoing support of the DeLand Naval Air Station Museum.
